Neighbors Who Care

Joan Orent
Volunteer orientation is set for September 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. New comers may not know about Neighbors Who Care. Many who have been residents in the south county have known about the services of many great people; neighbors, relatives and friends, either as a volunteer or as a service receiver.
If you have ever considered giving a few hours of your time each week or a couple times a month, we at Neighbors Who Care would like the opportunity to share one of the most rewarding experiences you may have. Volunteering isn't just about giving of your time. It is meeting and sharing experiences with others, and it is an opportunity to contribute to one of the most successful non-profits in Arizona.
Monthly orientation meetings are held the fourth Thursday each month at 1:00 p.m. in the Volunteer Room at the Neighbors Who Care office, 10450 E. Riggs Rd. Ste. 113, Sun Lakes, 480-895-7133. Registration is happening now. There is no charge for the orientation. Meet Carol, the Volunteer Services Coordinator, the Ex. Director and members of the all volunteer board of directors. Please bring your drivers license, auto insurance card, and your passion to help others. A volunteer will schedule your registration interview with Carol. Carol will be there to take your finger prints at the end of the meeting and Bob will be there to take your picture for new picture ID cards.
Neighbors Who Care is on the fast track to serving our neighbors and need your help to do it! Call Neighbors Who Care at 480-895-7133 to speak to the receptionist to register for the September orientation. If you cannot attend this meeting, register for the next scheduled orientation, October 27, 2011. We will gladly welcome back people who have taken a break and be happy to meet people who are curious about the incentives of giving back a little that ultimately mean so much.
